Job Description

Seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a critical access hospital setting. The therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages, working closely with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct respiratory assessments and evaluations for patients with varying diagnoses.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and ventilator management.
• Manage and monitor ventilators as part of patient care in ICU and ED settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Current certification as a Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• Vermont state licensure as a respiratory care practitioner.
• Additional certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP.
• NICU experience within the past year is required.
• Epic experience within the last 2 years is mandatory.

Special Equipment

Familiarity with ventilators and monitors specific to critical care settings.
