Schedule

This position involves daylight shifts with a rotating weekly schedule. Shifts include:

• 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM
• 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• 7:30 AM - finish (including elective cases and add-ons)

Weekend call is required from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with two weekends necessary in a six-week schedule. The on-call coverage is primarily for weekend needs and is not typically busy.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be part of a small team of 6 staff (3 RNs and 3 surgical scrubs) covering two orthopedic operating rooms, five days a week. It is essential for team members on the 7:30 AM shift to stay until all elective cases (approximately until 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM) and any add-ons are completed. While there is no call during the week, flexibility in working past the scheduled shift may be required occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in the operating room setting.
• Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Monitor patients during surgery and respond to any changes in condition.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient case completion.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Previous operating room experience preferred.
