4x10s, primarily from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with variable start times.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the Pre-Op and Phase 2 Recovery areas. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of surgical discharge processes and recovery protocols, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care during pre-operative and post-operative phases.
• Provide patient education and ensure understanding of discharge instructions.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions continuously.
• Collaboration with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses are not accepted).
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital or travel experience.
• Experience in Pre-op and Phase II Surgical Discharge preferred.
