Contract RN - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends; no call requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery. The position is suitable for professionals who are committed to providing high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns. Candidates must possess a strong skill set in fetal monitoring and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients during labor, assess fetal heart rates, and respond to any complications.
• Administer medications and deliver care as per established protocols.
• Assist with surgical procedures, including C-Sections and cerclages.
• Participate in patient education and provide emotional support throughout the labor process.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license and relevant certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Competency in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and skills in C-Section circulation.
• Preferred experience in a Level IV unit.
