Registered Nurse - ICU / Pre-Screen Unit

Night shift, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Pre-Screen Unit will be responsible for the assessment and provision of care to patients, with a focus on critical and complex cases, including potential COVID patients. Candidates will undergo a clinical review to ensure fit within guidelines before being submitted for final managerial interviews.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment and intervention in the ICU environment
• Manage arterial lines, ventilators, and other critical equipment
• Assist with chest tube insertion/removal and other invasive procedures
• Administer medications and blood products as per protocols
• Monitor and interpret patient's vital signs and laboratory results
• Support patients with chronic and acute renal failure, multisystem organ dysfunction, and other critical health conditions

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Candidate must be tobacco and fragrance-free
• Able to float to all ICU floors as required
