Cath Lab Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 4x10 hours (07:30 - 18:00) or 5x8 hours as needed, on call (1 weekday, 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks, includes holidays).

Job Description

The Cath Lab Technologist will utilize high-technology equipment and, under the supervision of a qualified physician, perform endovascular procedures on patients for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular diseases. Responsibilities include monitoring patients' hemodynamic status, documenting procedures, and assisting during endovascular procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac cath lab procedures including cardiac stent placement and diagnostic catheterizations.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and ensure accurate documentation during procedures.
• Set up equipment and prepare access sites for procedures.
• Assist in the recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
• Participate in stock supplies and maintain equipment in the lab.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1.5-2 years of experience in a diagnostic or interventional cardiac cath lab is required.
• Active RT license to operate fluoroscopy machines required for the state of West Virginia.
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS; ARRT is required.
• Preferred: ARRT CI certification.
