Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00), Weekend Coverage: Every Other Weekend.

Job Description

Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical/Surgical Telemetry. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care for adults and geriatrics suffering from various conditions such as COPD, pneumonia, and abdominal pain. Your skills in telemetry monitoring and management of dysrhythmias will be essential in delivering outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry data for patients.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as needed.
• Manage patients experiencing substance withdrawal and seizure disorders.
• Effectively utilize Rapid Response/Code teams in critical situations.
• Provide care related to BiPAP/CPAP and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy and pharmacy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current New York State RN license required to apply.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Ability to float to other areas as needed.
