Physical Therapist 13-Week Assignment

Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs and physician direction. The role involves the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those patients. This professional is responsible for designing functional treatment programs that support an effective return to community activities while serving as an educator to patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves. Additional duties include fostering patient and employee safety and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge, including equipment trials and training for patients and families.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.
• Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participate in student programs by providing supervision and feedback for learning objectives and evaluations.
• Engage in professional development activities, pursue continuing education, and maintain licensure.
• Participate in advocacy efforts and community events relevant to patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• Valid and current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience highly desired.

Schedule

This role operates on a Day shift schedule, 5 days a week.
