Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights

Job Summary

The RN partners with our residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care. Key aspects of this role involve working with Alzheimer's/dementia residents on specialized units and tailoring care to meet their needs. This includes understanding non-verbal communication techniques and recognizing that difficult behaviors can be valid forms of communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to residents.
• Utilize verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to interact with residents.
• Understand and respond to behaviors associated with Alzheimer's/dementia.
• Assist in providing short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation services, including IV therapy and wound care.
• Work collaboratively with a team of care providers to deliver quality care.
• Float to other units as needed to ensure adequate staffing and care provision.

Schedule

This position operates on a night shift from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Valid State of Maine or compact RN license.
• 1-3 years of previous RN experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to cover shifts 24/7 and to float to other units as needed.
