PCU/Tele Registered Nurse - 12-Hour Night Shift

Schedule

This position requires a commitment to 12-hour night shifts, with floating responsibilities across various units as needed. Every other weekend coverage is expected, along with the possibility of two extra mandatory shifts every six weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated PCU/Tele Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients within an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have experience managing post-Cath Lab patients and working in a fast-paced environment. As the first to float, flexibility and strong critical thinking skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for PCU/Tele patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Float to Med-Surg as needed, and to the ICU for PCU patient status only.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid nursing license required for submission.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• PCU/Tele experience is essential.
• Experience with post-Cath Lab patients is preferred.
