This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00) with rotating responsibilities between units as needed. This position includes every other weekend and holiday.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care while managing a range of responsibilities, including medication administration, patient assessments, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team. The position requires a commitment to hospital policies and regulations, ensuring high-quality care for all patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Conduct patient assessments and document care plans.
• Manage patient care equipment and ensure a safe environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in patient education and provide emotional support.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient's chart.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a medical surgical unit.
• Current PA or Compact RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.
