Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Inpatient Rehab Setting

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

The LPN will have a night shift schedule working three 12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. The workdays will alternate every two weeks, covering Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The nurse will be working the night of July 4th, with weekend shifts scheduled from June 5th - 7th, June 19th - 21st, July 3rd - 5th, July 17th - 19th, and continuing based on the contract start date.

Job Description

The LPN will provide care in an inpatient hospital and rehab setting. Candidates should possess strong skills and motivation to offer quality patient care, as well as be equipped to handle a patient population with an average stay of about 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and manage treatments as directed.
• Provide care for patients with gastric tube feeds.
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic charting systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of inpatient rehab experience required.
• BLS certification is required; NIH certification preferred, with options for on-site training.
• State licensure as an LPN must be valid and provided at the time of submission.
• Experience with phlebotomy and IV administration is essential.
