Outpatient Physical Therapist
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective community reintegration. As an educator, the therapist will engage patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves in a learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients toward discharge.
- Ensure accurate medical record documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
- Participate in the student program as assigned, creating a positive learning environment.
- Engage in professional development through continuing education and activities relevant to the field.
- Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
- Actively contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience (new graduates allowed).
- Current CPR certification.
- Active/state licensure for practicing as a Physical Therapist.
Schedule
This is a 13-week contract position with a 5x8.0 schedule, covering Monday to Friday, offering 32-40 hours per week.
