Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health (Nights)

Nights, 7 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute behavioral health settings, particularly in crisis stabilization and de-escalation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with mental health disorders in a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques to manage crises and ensure patient safety.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to create and implement treatment plans.
• Float between adult and geriatric behavioral health units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3+ years of experience in acute behavioral health settings.
• Current RN License.
• AHA BLS Certification.
• Handle With Care certification preferred.
• Cerner EHR experience required.
