Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care in various settings, including acute care and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using EPIC for charting and will have experience with adult critical care, emergency department procedures, and a range of respiratory therapies and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and manage ventilator settings for critically ill patients.
• Perform procedures including intubation assistance, extubation, and tracheostomy care.
• Conduct patient assessments, monitor patient condition, and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Collect sputum specimens and perform ABG sampling as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory therapies and care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RRT license in the state of New York.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory care, preferably in adult critical care settings.
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system is required.
