Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Full Time

Schedule

Full Time, 37.5 hours/week. Day and Night shifts as needed by schedule, with weekend and holiday shifts required.

Job Description

Under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) performs direct and indirect resident care within the scope of practice as defined by certification. The CNA must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, including adult and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents as per the care plan.
• Support residents' nutritional needs, including meal delivery and feeding assistance.
• Facilitate residents' rehabilitative needs as outlined in their care plan.
• Report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse promptly.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York State Nurse Aide Certification required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or RQI).
• Minimum of one year of experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting as a CNA.
