Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Per Diem

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our team on a per diem basis. In this role, you will provide direct and indirect resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Your responsibilities will include meeting the daily needs of our residents, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment, and maintaining a high standard of care appropriate to the adult and geriatric populations. This position requires a commitment of a minimum of 24 hours per month, including two weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Maintain a safe environment by answering call lights promptly and adhering to safety protocols.
• Support residents' nutritional needs through meal delivery and feeding assistance.
• Implement rehabilitative and restorative care as outlined in the resident care plan.
• Report changes in resident condition and concerns to the Charge Nurse promptly.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have New York State Nursing Assistant Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One (1) year of experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) as a CNA is required.

Schedule

MUST be able to complete a full day orientation on either Tuesday or Thursday. Minimum shift requirement is 24 hours per month, which must include two weekend shifts.
