Registered Nurse - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) with potential for day shifts as needed. Flexibility is required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment, primarily during night shifts while being open to day shifts as necessary. Candidates should possess strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt to various patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for patients experiencing acute psychosis and multisystem organ dysfunction.
• Administer medications, including emergency medications and IV therapies.
• Provide support in managing violent behavior and performing procedural sedation monitoring.
• Conduct patient assessments including obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECGs and interpreting dysrhythmias.
• Assist in the care of ventilated patients and manage BiPAP/CPAP equipment.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to support patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Current PA or compact nursing license is required.
• Cerner experience preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
