Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Acute Care

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide critical care in an acute hospital setting. This role involves evaluating and developing tailored treatment plans for adult patients with speech, swallowing, and cognitive disorders. The successful candidate will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop plans of care for adult patients in acute care settings.
• Administer speech and swallowing assessments, focusing on modified barium swallow studies (MBSS).
• Implement and adjust treatment protocols based on patient progress and response.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid state Speech-Language Pathology license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inpatient adult speech and swallow therapy.
• MBSS certification preferred.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a day shift of 5 days per week, either from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including a 1-hour lunch break. Weekend work is required every third weekend.

Location

Position is located in Pomona, California.
