Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Infectious Disease

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift

12-hour night shifts, with weekends scheduled as needed. Shifts run from 1900 to 0730 with a 30-minute lunch break.

Job Description

The MedSurg/Infectious Disease unit requires an experienced Registered Nurse who is skilled in managing various infectious diseases and isolation precautions. The ideal candidate will have strong MedSurg experience and be familiar with the EPIC charting system.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, including COVID, MRSA, and C-Diff.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips as per protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of isolation precautions and procedures.
• Participate in unit orientation and training programs for new staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN License and BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records.
• Strong knowledge of MedSurg and Infectious Disease protocols.
