Job Description

The Cardiovascular Registered Nurse utilizes clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. As a critical member of the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU), you will care for over 4,000 cardiology patients annually, including procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers. You will also be involved in the care of approximately 300 open heart surgery patients discharged from this unit and specialize in managing patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiovascular patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes
• Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ year of Stepdown experience - Required
• Proficiency in Cardiac - Required
• Travel experience - Required
• Comfort with EKG - Required
• Must be willing to float to similar units - Required
• Valid Michigan RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
