Registered Nurse - Postpartum

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends. No on-call requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Postpartum team. This role involves providing exceptional nursing care to postpartum patients in a 24-bed unit. The RN will work collaboratively with a team of nurses and support staff to ensure the highest level of care for new mothers and their infants.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for postpartum patients, including monitoring vital signs and managing pain.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with non-stress tests and hyperemesis management.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team on patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care and infant care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have an active RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Previous experience in Labor & Delivery (L/D) or Antepartum is preferred.
