Registered Nurse - Night Shift (3x12-Hour)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a night shift position on a mixed acuity unit. The nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with various medical conditions, including respiratory issues, pneumonia, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The nurse will also assist in the management of patients on ventilators and other critical care equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patient conditions, including telemetry and respiratory support.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Provide care for patients on CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilators as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Participate in patient education and support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina or a compact state.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Experience in telemetry and caring for ventilated patients is preferred.
