PACU RN - Days

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Hour shifts, Day shift from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to provide high-quality care for patients recovering from anesthesia. This role requires strong ICU/Critical care experience and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative care and assessment of patients in the PACU.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to patient needs and rapid changes.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and the patient's family.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on critical care or ICU.
• Active RN MD state license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
