Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Med Tech specializing in Microbiology to join our clinical laboratory team. This position plays a crucial role in performing a variety of microbiology tests to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis for the healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Microbiology STAT testing
• Prepare and perform Gram stains
• Set up cultures
• Read and interpret culture results

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must be certified as MLT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), or M (ASCP)
• Minimum of 6 months of current hospital experience in Microbiology
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Meditech is preferred
• Culture reading experience is a plus
