Radiology/X-Ray Technologist - Cardiology

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 4x10 hours (21:00 - 07:30), with every third weekend required and potential for more based on unit needs.

Job Description

The Radiology/X-Ray Technologist will work in the diagnostic X-Ray unit, performing radiological procedures and ensuring quality imaging results. This role requires working with different equipment and patient populations while adhering to safety protocols and standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures using C-arm and portable X-ray units.
• Utilize Philips, Siemens, and GE equipment effectively to produce quality images.
• Follow safety guidelines to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure.
• Document procedures and patient information accurately using the EPIC charting system.
• Assist in preparing patients for procedures and explain imaging processes.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology/X-Ray Technologist.
• Certification in ARRT (Radiography) and BLS are mandatory.
• Active New Jersey state license is required prior to the start date.
• Experience with O-arm is preferred.
