Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated. Weekends required. Must float if needed, and no call required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will provide direct care to obstetrical patients. Responsibilities will include assessment, medication administration, and evaluating the effectiveness of care while documenting provided services. Care will be delivered in accordance with hospital policies and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to obstetrical patients.
• Administer medications and carry out providers' orders.
• Evaluate the effects of treatments and document care provided.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and accreditation standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in North Carolina or compact state.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and CPI certifications (CPI must be in hand prior to start).
• 1 year of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery preferred, with Meditech experience a plus.
