CVIUC RN - Night Shift (3x12-Hour)

Schedule

Night shift (3x12-Hour: 19:00 - 07:00) with a patient ratio of 1:2. Requires availability on weekdays and weekends.

Job Description

The CVIUC RN will provide specialized care for patients in a cardiac unit, primarily focusing on fresh open-heart admissions from the operating room. The role includes advanced monitoring and management of cardiac patients, ensuring high-quality care and effective patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage direct fresh open-heart admissions from the OR.
• Perform pressure monitoring and manage Swan-Ganz catheters.
• Oversee Impella and CRRT monitoring.
• Administer medications and manage blood products.
• Provide care for ventilated patients and manage central lines.
• Assist with chest tube insertion and removal as required.
• Monitor and titrate medications and drips for patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
• Valid RN license (WV or Compact license acceptable).
• Must hold certifications in ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS from the American Heart Association.
• Experience in direct open heart admissions and cardiac surgery techniques is essential.
