Job Description

The Physical Therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength. This role requires a high level of professional skill and a commitment to providing quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Record systems to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries.
• Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides in patient care.
• Communicate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient chart documentation and follow up on prescriptions and authorizations.
• Assist patients with mobility and ensure patient comfort during therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with the front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow-up.
• Participate in the business marketing and referral processes when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Active Physical Therapist license or plan to test for licensure in the state of California.
• Continuing Education courses preferred.
