Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit

This is a 13-week contract position with 3 × 12-hour shifts per week, from 07:00 to 19:30.

Job Description

The Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) is seeking a qualified and dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Float Pool team. The RN will provide care for patients with Med/Surg, PCU, and ICU needs, maintaining an expected patient ratio of 1:2, which will never exceed 3:1 on any unit. The RN's responsibilities include assessing, implementing, and evaluating patient care under the direction of a licensed physician, while ensuring adherence to nursing standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care as per nursing standards.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and health care teams to provide individualized care.
• Direct nursing support staff in accordance with departmental policies.
• Utilize the nursing process to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 2 years of RN experience in a clinical specialty area.
• PA or MSL Compact Registered Nurse License is required.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
