Critical Care Registered Nurse (CICU) - 13 Week Contract

Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, 36 hours/week, alternating weekends, 12-hour shifts

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). This unit requires nurses with experience in critical care, specifically in managing patients with serious cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ICU setting.
• Monitor patients' conditions and administer medications, including titration of vesicant medications.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, telemetry machines, and IV pumps.
• Assist with procedures such as cardioversion, central line insertion, and thoracentesis.
• Interpret telemetry data and assess hemodynamics.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Previous ICU experience is required.
• Valid RN license in North Carolina.
• Experience with ventilators, trachs, sedation, and paralytics is essential.
• Advanced skills in IABP, Impella, and CRRT are preferred.
• CCRN certification is recommended.
