Operating Room Nurse

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse is a crucial professional responsible for taking care of patients throughout the entire process of surgery or medical procedures. They ensure that patients are properly prepared for their procedures and that they are recovering effectively. By providing essential information about the procedures and potential outcomes, the Operating Room Nurse plays a vital role in patient care and safety.

Schedule

This position offers a shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Provide support and information to patients regarding surgical outcomes and expected recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
• Assist in the preparation of the operating room and necessary surgical instruments.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols within the operating environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) experience - Required
• NCCT certification - Required
