Cardiac Catheterization Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Catheterization Technologist to join our team for a 13-week contract position. The successful candidate will be required to perform advanced cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. This role demands expertise in the cardiac catheterization lab and a strong understanding of various cardiac therapies.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab.
• Handle equipment setup and maintain sterile fields during procedures.
• Assist in cardiac stent placements, IABP placement/removal, and left/right heart catheterizations.
• Monitor patients during procedures and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.

Schedule

This position will require a Day 4x10-hour shift from Monday to Friday, working from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with on-call requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab.
• ACLS, BLS, and ARRT certifications are required. RCIS certification may be accepted if ARRT is not held.
• Must have a valid NY state license in hand to be submitted.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is a hard requirement.
• Candidates must be able to float within the facility as needed.
