Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Critical Care

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:30 - 07:00, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will be responsible for providing high-level respiratory care to critically ill patients in various intensive care units. This position requires critical care experience within the last 12 months and includes monitoring, ventilator management, and oxygen therapy skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for adult trauma and burn patients.
• Manage ventilators and administer aerosol therapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Perform advanced respiratory interventions such as ECMO and tracheostomy care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma setting.
• Current RRT credential and state licensure in Washington.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience with adult ICU patients and complex medical conditions is essential.
• Pediatric experience is preferred but not required; willing to train in pediatrics.
