Registered Nurse - High Acuity Floor

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week. Must be willing to work given shifts with no block schedules.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a high acuity floor specializing in surgery trauma care. The patient population includes spinal neuro trauma surgical cases, as well as patients with gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to high acuity patients.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for effective patient management.
• Assist in managing complex surgical trauma cases and post-operative care.
• Monitor patient parameters and respond to changes in condition.
• Ensure documentation and accuracy in patient records using EPIC system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in the specialty.
• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Proficient in using the EPIC electronic health record system.
