Night shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers and their newborns during labor and delivery. This includes monitoring fetal heart rates, assisting with pain management, and performing necessary assessments to ensure the health and safety of both mother and child. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement effective labor and delivery care plans, ensuring all best practices and protocols are followed during the birthing process.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the health status of mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process.
• Provide support and education to families during the childbirth experience.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver optimal patient-centered care.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Document all patient care activities in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Relevant nursing experience in labor and delivery.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification may be preferred.
