Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (M/S RN) for a contract position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical setting, while adhering to safety and infection control protocols. Experience with isolation procedures, particularly for COVID-19 and Monkey Pox, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit.
• Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to assess patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vitals and progress, reporting any changes to the medical team.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with facility policy.
• Adhere to isolation protocols and safety guidelines to ensure patient and staff safety.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical nursing specialty.
• Active RN license verified through Nursys.
• Current certification and skills checklist relevant to the M/S RN role.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is required.
• Must provide a resume with no gaps greater than 60 days.
• References must be available upon request.
