Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (L&D)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with a weekend rotation every other Saturday and Sunday night.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. They will utilize clinical expertise to ensure the safety and comfort of both mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and monitor patients during labor.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and provide support during vaginal deliveries.
• Administer medications and manage pain relief interventions, including epidurals.
• Perform neonatal care and resuscitation when necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Educate parents on postpartum care and newborn care practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Current and valid RN license required.
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications are required.
• Experience with Epic electronic health records system is mandatory.
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
