Job Description

The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist will perform specialized examinations in cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular studies, and electrophysiology studies. The role involves collaboration with the intra-procedure team to ensure safe patient care while maintaining compliance with Universal Protocols and regulatory standards. This position requires equipment maintenance and calibration, as well as active participation in improving work processes and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specialized examinations in cardiac and vascular studies.
• Act as a lead worker, providing resources to medical and clinical staff.
• Collaborate with the intra-procedure team for safe patient care.
• Assist in patient preparation and room setup for procedures.
• Read and implement physician's orders and protocols.
• Select and maintain equipment in line with regulatory standards.
• Identify and implement improvements in work processes.
• Stay updated on advancements in cardiovascular technology.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant laws and guidelines impacting cardiovascular technology.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Special Procedures or Cath/EP cases is required.
• ARRT or RCIS certification is required.
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required.
• Must hold a State of Texas Medical Radiologic License.
• Critical care experience (ICU, ED) or prior Cath/EP Lab experience is preferred.
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
