Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering quality nursing care by following established care plans and supervising LPNs and CNAs. This role emphasizes patient safety and quality outcomes through a commitment to the organization’s core values, which include superior quality, teamwork, and resourcefulness in overcoming challenges.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and patient/family.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, focusing on education for patients and families.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to relevant team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary staff and ensure adherence to safety policies.
• Contribute positively to team dynamics and participate in unit activities.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested after the orientation period.
• Pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift.
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This role requires day shifts with a schedule of 3x12 hours.
