Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday with one Saturday per month and holidays required.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist facilitates the development and rehabilitation of physically disabled persons, maximizing the functional status of hospitalized patients. Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, implementing, and modifying age-appropriate treatment programs, participating in discharge planning, and performing necessary administrative duties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct OT evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Attend care plan meetings and participate in discharge planning.
• Perform age-appropriate treatment interventions.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Engage in ongoing professional growth and development.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Active New Mexico state licensure required.
• Acute care experience is necessary.
