Schedule

Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required. Floating and call are required but rarely needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a general medical-surgical setting, including post-operative orthopedic and general surgery patients. Candidates should be prepared to float to other areas as needed, with floating to ICU for MS overflow or step-down patients on rare occasions.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the medical team.
• Assist with patient assessments and care planning.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the Cerner and Mindray Telemetry System.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico.
• A minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Successful completion of fingerprint process in accordance with New Mexico regulations.
