Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Schedule / Shift

Night 3x12-Hour Shift: 19:00 - 07:00. Weekends required: 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks.

Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced trauma environment. This role involves assessing and managing patients experiencing medical emergencies, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and utilizing advanced clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Monitor patient conditions and make nursing assessments based on clinical vitals.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health issues.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, especially in emergency situations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a similar setting.
• Valid RN license in the applicable state (compact license preferred).
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with Epic charting system required.
• Charge experience preferred.
