ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts: 6 PM to 6 AM with every other weekend.

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced critical care environment, providing care for patients with a variety of complex conditions including respiratory failure, sepsis, STEMI, post-TPA stroke, overdose, suicide attempts, and COVID-19. The ICU has 14 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 in ICU and 1:3 in step-down units. The position requires floating to telemetry and potentially to med-surg as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with complex medical needs.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to any changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with medical teams and assist with care plans.
• Utilize critical care tele-med cameras for patient monitoring.
• Participate in ongoing education and training.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS.
• Ability to pass an IV and medication test on the first day.
• Additional physical and drug screening required prior to start (unpaid).
