Shifts are scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend and holiday requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Medical Surgical unit. The LPN will be responsible for managing their own patient assignments while providing support to registered nurses (RNs). You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, monitoring patients' conditions, and assisting with various medical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess vital signs and patient status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV therapy and other routes.
• Manage patient care responsibilities such as intake/output monitoring and wound care basics.
• Utilize EPIC charting to document patient information and care provided.
• Communicate changes in patient status to RNs and medical staff.
• Assist with patient mobility and personal care needs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions regarding patient progress.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess an active New York State LPN license (no pending licenses accepted).
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience within the last 2 years.
• Experience with EPIC charting is mandatory.
• Proficiency in patient care skills including medication administration and telemetry monitoring.
