Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant embraces the Select Medical Way and Core Values of the Company. This role is dedicated to delivering superior quality care while focusing on patient and employee safety.

The position involves implementing treatment goals, plans, and therapeutic interventions established by the Physical Therapist, ensuring a safe and effective rehabilitation environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment goals and programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist with therapeutic interventions designed to meet patients' long-term goals such as posture training, strengthening exercises, and pain relief.
• Train patients in locomotion using various assistive devices and demonstrate proper techniques.
• Monitor patient responses and intervene as necessary during treatment.
• Document patient progress and responses to treatments, including education for patients and families.
• Maintain a clean treatment area and ensure the proper use of all equipment.
• Display a customer service attitude towards patients and colleagues at all times.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• CAPTE Certified.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of employment.
