Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician directives. Responsibilities include the delegation and direction of discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring functional treatment program designs that facilitate a return to community activities, and serving as an educator for patients, families, students, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans focused on patient discharge goals.
• Maintain detailed medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Participate in the student program by providing a positive learning environment.
• Engage in professional development and continuing education activities.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure.
• Contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active physical therapy license for the state where work will be performed.
• Previous experience with Select Medical is a plus.
