Job Description

Our unit is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in cardiac care, specifically in managing post-operative patients from complex cardiac and vascular procedures. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac surgery post-operative patients.
• Monitor patient status and titrate IV medications as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Demonstrated experience in cardiac and vascular nursing.
• Ability to titrate medications such as heparin, amiodarone, and Cardizem.
