This position involves a Day 3x12.0 shift schedule.

Job Description

Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Nursing Assistant performs routine tasks in patient care, bedside nursing, and documentation of care provided. The role includes promoting patient and employee safety and adhering to guidelines while delivering superior quality care.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patient care activities and documentation.
• Assist patients with menu selections compliant with prescribed diets.
• Update and validate diet changes and manage menu systems.
• Communicate patient care and food service issues to the department.
• Maintain organization and efficiency within the Food & Nutrition office.
• Perform clerical assignments such as faxing, answering phones, and filing.
• Assist trayline and food service aides as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required for specific facilities.
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
