Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Same Day Surgery unit will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibilities involve preoperative and post-operative care, with a focus on orthopedic and general surgery procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative care and assessment for patients.
• Administer preoperative medications and monitor patient responses.
• Assist anesthesia providers with nerve blocks and spinals.
• Conduct post sedation monitoring, including labs and EKGs.
• Ensure patient education and support throughout the surgical process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience in preoperative and postoperative nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of orthopedic and general surgery procedures.
